List of dress safety warnings based on the requirements of Regulation (EU) 2023/988 on General Product Safety (GPSR):

1. Choking Hazard:

* Avoid dresses with small parts that could detach and be swallowed by a child.

* Ensure that any appliqués, sequins, or buttons are securely sewn on.

2. Strangulation Hazard:

* Long straps, cords, or ribbons may pose a strangulation hazard – remove or shorten them before giving the dress to a child.

3. Potential Injuries:

* Check the dress for sharp edges, seams, or other elements that could injure the child.

* Be careful with dresses with metal parts that can become hot in the sun.

4. Skin Allergies:

* Ensure the dress material is suitable for the child's skin; avoid materials that cause irritation.

* Wash a new dress before first wearing to remove any chemical residue.

5. Risk of entanglement:

* A child wearing a dress may become entangled in things like loose threads or decorative elements.

* Supervise your child while wearing the dress.

6. Flammability:

* Choose dresses made of flame-retardant or at least slow-burning materials.

* Avoid wearing dresses near open flames or other heat sources.

7. Sizing:

* The dress should fit your child properly so that it doesn't restrict movement or cause discomfort.

* Dresses that are too long can cause trips and falls.
